Residents of North Smithfield, my wife Beth and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary in May and have three children, Diane, Liam and Aidan. The two oldest attend North Smithfield public schools. We are all members of Central Congregational Church and I am a member and past chairman of the North Smithfield Juvenile Hearing Board and a trustee of the North Smithfield Public Library, as well as a former member of the Rhode Island Lottery Commission. My wife is a past president of the Junior League of Rhode Island and a member of the Greater Woonsocket YMCA Board of Trustees. We have both been dedicated to our community for a long time.

Professionally, I am an attorney specializing in business and commercial litigation and defense of design professionals and have been in private practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts for twelve years. Prior to that I interned with a federal judge and with the U.S. Attorney's office in Philadelphia.

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 with a double major in American History and Urban Studies and then received my law degree magna cum laude in 1996 from Temple University School of Law.
